Lulworth to Ringstead. Sea Kayaking on the Jurassic Coast

The Isle of Portland Canoe Club chose a fine day to paddle from Lulworth Cove to Ringstead.  Blue skies, sunshine and no wind.

November 200k for Audax RRTY

The route

The challenge now that we are the wrong side of the clock change is to have enough daylight to ride 200km.  There is, of course, also the challenge of the winter weather, short battery life on the Garmin because of the cold, muddy slippery lanes etc etc

Hilly Dartmoor 100k

The route

I had planned a day riding some hills on Dartmoor with my regular cycling buddy Steve. The inspiration for the ride came from 100 Greatest Cycling Climbs: A Road Cyclist’s Guide to Britain’s Hills by Simon Warren. In order to bag 2.5 Audax Altitude Award points I devised a 100k route taking in these 4 hills. With over 2,600m (8,500’) of ascent in total this was a continuously hilly ride and believe me, there were a lot more than 4 hills!
